Hi, I’m Janet
Mindfulness Teacher, Clinical Nurse Specialist, EFT Practitioner and Trainee Aromatherapist
People are my passion and helping them make the most of their lives is a privilege. Life experience, particularly through my work as a nurse, has enriched my understanding of how we struggle with everyday life.
I use my life skills, training and a large dose of humour to facilitate people in discovering their own sense of what they need to lead happy fulfilled lives.
Cutting edge research, my mindfulness training and nursing experience form the foundation for facilitating people to introduce simple mindfulness practices into their everyday lives.
My Story
I discovered mindfulness meditation at a time when I experienced great loss and anxiety in my own life, and the practice of mindfulness meditation was and still remains to be one of the best roads I embarked upon. I am a passionate advocate for mindfulness, and believe it is essential in improving health and well-being.
My Education
Following on from my own personal experience I decided to undertake further studies in the area so I could share what I learnt.
I completed rigorous training and research through a 2 year Masters in Mindfulness Based Interventions (MBIs) in UCD which I completed in 2017.
My Experience
Since completing my MSc, I have facilitated many eight-week programmes, individual days of practice, lectures and workshops all relating to mindfulness, health and well-being.
In particular I have focused on work related stress issues and bringing mindfulness into the workplace.
My Courses & Workshops
I offer a range of courses at different levels depending on the needs of your group
Lunchtime Sessions
Stress is inevitable in the workplace but that doesn’t mean we have to suffer from it. Meditation is scientifically proven to reduce the effects of stress, increase performance, boost creativity and improve relationships in and outside of the workplace.
Topics on offer include: Stress Management and Self-Compassion for Modern Times.
DURATION: 60-90mins
SUITABLE FOR: Small groups (10 to 20)
Half and Full Day Workshops
Choose from a range of workshops to give you a clearer understanding of what mindfulness is all about, how it can help, and how to incorporate in a practical way into your own life.
Workshops include: Be Kind to Your Mind, Refresh and Renew Your Mindful Practice, and many more.
DURATION: Generally 2-3 hours
SUITABLE FOR: Small groups (10 to 20)
Full Mindfulness Programmes
If you are looking for something more intensive and valuable, try my 6 to 8 week programmes where each week we cover a different set of skills to improve wellbeing and resilience.
Programmes include: Finding Peace in a Frantic World and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
DURATION: 6-8 weeks (1 evening a week)
